Description
The “Sewing and Design” workshop is a relaxed space where you learn to design, cut and sew your own clothes, all through practice.
The goal is to take a creative break every week. A time dedicated just to you, to relax and have fun creating your own clothes.
Everyone goes at their own pace, and is taken care of individually. We follow a program so that you can learn from the simplest to the most complex, but with flexibility according to your interests and needs.
WHAT DO YOU LEARN?
– How to use the domestic sewing machine and cutting and sewing tools.
– Cutting and sewing techniques and terminology.
– Proper use of fabrics for designs.
– Step-by-step garment making as needed: design, pattern scaling and transformation, fabric cutting and sewing.
ABOUT THE CLASSES
– Maximum 4 people per group
– 1 time per week 2 hours
– In English and Spanish
– All levels of experience are welcome
– Classes all year round, can be started at any time
– Studio located by Görlitzer Park
– Availability for message consultations outside of class
MATERIALS
– 2 straight sewing machines and 1 overlock machine, pattern paper, sewing and pattern making accessories available for use during classes.
– Just bring the fabric and supplies you want to use for your projects. Learning how to buy materials is part of the course 😉

Each student must reserve the days he/she wants to come to class during the month, which does not have to be always in the same group. There is great flexibility and adaptability, with the possibility of creating new groups or changing schedules.
