Trapos Finos, the Peruvian fashion/art based concept will be presenting their clothing at the Berlin Design Market in Prenzlauer Berg.
Trapos finos. Made in Paris
Artistic and social creations / graphic stories to remember where we come from.
Concept
The first bikinis designed in Paris and made with high-quality standards in a workshop in Lima (Perú). We find our inspiration in the art of Andes and the Amazon.
Our bikinis are visual storytellings based in Andean and Shipiba cosmology.
We try to incorporate their visual ancestral memory to our narrative providing fresh air from a modern approach.
Style
Andean: creations under a conceptual premise reflecting a way of living and behave in the world, building our unique and own reality. Our creations represent an ideology filled with ancestral imageries.
Shipibo
The Shipibo art is a spiritual, physical and cultural expression whose origins are located in the Peruvian Amazonia. Its creations are visual songs representing the world view from the Shipibo perspective where the creative process is a ceremonial ritual where ‘icarios’ songs melt with sophisticated interpretations of shapes and energy coming from nature.
Introducing ourselves
Two young creators passionate by the cultural riches of our country, Perú. Yulissa, Italo-Peruvian (fashion designer) and Belén, a Peruvian from Lima (graphic designer). We met in early 2015 in Paris and decided to develop an artistic and social project that would show the graphic and cultural wealth of Peru, giving it a contemporary focus.
